If you have European number, and you are happy with price for internet all over Europe, you don't need this page.

The topic of SIM cards is widely discussed each semester, as everyone has different preferences and needs regarding internet access and calls. It really depends on whether you’re someone who wants plenty of data everywhere in Europe or if you don’t need calls and SMS. I’ve seen people who are perfectly fine using just their university’s Wi-Fi and their home internet for entire months without paying for a mobile plan.

Slovakia offers many options for students, including foreigners. Many providers offer discounts with an ISIC card, which you’ll receive once you’re enrolled in school. However, be careful, as some discounts may be age-related. I highly recommend visiting the Mlyny shopping center, where you can find O2, Orange, Telekom, and 4ka. Ask them about their specific offers for students; I trust they can accommodate you in English. If not, you can ask for Wi-Fi and use a translator to communicate your needs.

Based on discussions from last year among ESN Slovakia, Erasmus students, and other foreigners, I’ve heard the best reviews for O2 and 4ka. The entire process of selecting and ordering your new number may take about 1.5 hours.
